A valuable opportunity of exchange and learning for professionals in territorial promotion, local development and tourism.

A precious opportunity of exchange for professionals of the tourism field and territorial promotion.

Peccioli Working Village is a project issued by Belvedere SpA, in collaboration with Touring Club Italiano and supported by Codici Ricerca e Intervento.

The project goal is to select 6 people having different professional backgrounds for the unique experience of working in a village for 9 days, from 18 to 26 September 2021, within an innovative context full of landscape and cultural attractions.

The choice of Peccioli is not random.

Certified with the Orange Flag of the Touring Club Italiano thanks to its historical, cultural and environmental heritage, this small village among the Pisan hills stands out for the fascinating dialogue between past and present, between the medieval layout of the territory and the interesting artistic path undertaken since the nineties.

We are looking for professionals who can support Peccioli’s tourism growth. You must meet the following specific entry requirements:

  • Professional

    Solid skills in at least one field among marketing and territorial communication, art and culture, outdoor and adventure, wellness and relaxation, food and wine.

  • English language

    Good knowledge of English language, written and spoken.

  • Smart Working

    Ability of working remotely.

  • Spirit of discovery

    Willingness to devote time to discovering the area.

  • Comparison and sharing

    Willingness to compare and share skills with local operators.

WHY CHOOSING PECCIOLI?

Because it is a village certified with the Orange Flag, a touring-environmental quality mark of the Touring Club Italiano, which rewards small inland villages that offer a special welcome and demonstrate sustainable land management.

IN A NUTSHELL

What we ask for
Participants must take the time to elaborate a personal contribution proposal to Peccioli’s tourism development and transfer it to local operators. There will be moments of sharing among the villagers to encourage the circulation of skills and experiences.
What we offer
Free board and lodging in various structures distributed in the Peccioli area. Internet connection and adequate spaces to work. Possibility to spend working and extra-working time in an Orange Flag village. Local tourism experiences to discover the area and strengthen the bond between the participants. Possibility of expanding one’s professional network in the field of tourism.
Some examples of proposed activities
Tastings of local products, yoga immersed in nature, guided cultural tours, trekking, etc.
Where you will sleep
In a tourist facility in Peccioli, from the farmhouse surrounded by greenery to the B&B in the historic center.

F.A.Q.

Who is the announcement for?
The announcement is for six professionals in tourism, in hospitality and in the promotion of the territory. All applicants must be at least eighteen (18) years of age or older, be resident outside the municipal area of ​​Peccioli, hold a valid passport/identity document, have a good knowledge of English language, written and spoken and proven skills and experience in one of the areas indicated.
Why participate?
Because it is an opportunity to live a unique experience in a small Tuscan village. In particular, it will be possible to: live everyday life in Peccioli, share one’s skills with the local network and be part of a community of professionals.
How to submit the application?
You can submit your application by filling out the form below, attaching a CV and any portfolio of your experiences.
What are the required skills?
Through the call for proposals, we are looking for professionals in the following areas: storytelling, photography, video making and territorial communication, territorial marketing, digital platforms, social media, information and communication technology, art and culture, outdoor and adventure, wellness and relaxation, food and wine. More details in the announcement.
On the basis of what criteria are the candidates selected?
The Commission will evaluate the applications received based on the examination of the curriculum, the application form, the relevance of the proposal, the full compliance with the requirements to participate and its originality.
How much time do I have to dedicate to sharing my contribution with local operators?
It depends on the type of contribution proposed during the application phase. In any case, during the day the “villagers” will be able to devote themselves to their work, concentrating the evening and / or weekends for sharing with the territory.
How to get to Peccioli?
Peccioli is easily reachable from Florence airport and Pisa airport. The Peccioli area is easily accessible from all major cities in Tuscany. In fact, just 15 km from the town are the two Pontedera exits from the FI-PI-LI highway that connects the city of Florence with Pisa and Livorno. The Peccioli area is served by the Pontedera-Casciana Terme train station with regular trains every hour or half an hour all day long. From Pontedera there is an extra-urban bus service to Peccioli and the hamlets by the CTT – Compagnia Toscana Trasporti.
What free services will I be able to use?
